Keagan really has been into anything with wheels but lately trains have been his favorite. So we looked into trains in the Denver area and found the Colorado Train Museum in Golden Colorado. This museum is both heaven for the old train cars that need a home and for any little boy or girl that is in love with trains. We had so much fun touring the museum which is mostly train cars outside. Although it was a bit warm we had a great time learning about how the trains helped settle Colorado and the West. It is really neat that this piece of history has been preserved.
Some of our favorite train cars in the museum were the cog railcar the mail car, the huge snowplow and the engine where the boys could touch the knobs and ring the bell. What a great way to start June. We are trying to get some fun Colorado activities in before Dad leaves for MN in the middle of the month. This is by far Keagan's favorite Colorado activity!
